Monday - Wednesday was a fun trip with my son’s class at school to Ecole D’Neige. A French field trip north of Montebello for some winter activities.

Tonight we took the short trip over to the kids school for their Christmas performance. Just two of them were in this concert.  As I am sitting there waiting for it to start, a older man sits in front of me, and I had to do a double-take….I thought I was seeing the Republican John McCain sitting down.  I tapped him on the shoulder and asked him if people have told him he looks like McCain. I joked, with him about how it was an impressive campaign stop….

This past Saturday afternoon, my daughter and I went to a new set of nature trails that opened up just South of Rockland. These trails are located in Bourget, called “Lavigne Nature Trails”. It was an very quiet time in the forest, and a few times, we just sat in the snow and listened to the quietness, talking about how God created all of it. It was a great time together, and was very peaceful and uplifting. After a few kilometers of walking, my daughter’s legs got tried, so I had to piggy back here the rest of the way to the car. We will definitely being going back to this set of trails.

We did some photo walking, pasted below are some of the pics we took.

We got back Sunday from our trip to NYC. We had a great time, the parade was definitely worth watching and standing on Broadway for around 4 hours in total. It was estimated that 3 million people we out on the parade route. I would go again, not next year, but in a couple maybe.

I didn’t get much reading done this trip. Just spent time walking around Manhattan, and shopping with the kids (well I held the bags).

We went through the Central Park Zoo, and carved off some more of Central Park.

We did not have Catalyst this past weekend, as we didn’t get back to Ottawa in time. This up coming weekend, we should be getting back to our series on God is Green.
